With a hands-down designing approach, Maria Lucia is in charge of both the creation atelier and production center, where 90 seamstresses have mastered the French haute-couture techniques for handcrafted gowns.

The House includes a network of 3 showrooms, in Paris, Los Angeles and Bucharest and over 150 stores carrying the brand in 25 countries worldwide.

The quintessential designer of red carpet gowns for celebrities, Maria Lucia Hohan has become a household name due to the incredible A-listers who repeatedly favour MLH for all types of occasions – Oscars, Golden Globe’s, Emmy’s, VMAs, Bilboard awards and likes. Addressing the intrinsic desire to feel both sensual and empowered, the MLH dress is a statement of femininity that has surprised the very essence of womanhood, across generations, ethnic groups, body types and cultures.

The designer

Graduate of the L’Institute Supérieur d’Arts Appliqués, Paris, Maria Lucia Hohan has established herself as an international new wave designer, with a recognizable style and IT dresses.

Active in several foundations, NGOs and not-for-profit associations, Maria Lucia is also member of reputed international organizations such as Friends of Europe, a Brussels based think tank for European Union policy, analysis and debate, reuniting forward thinking professionals across industries.

Creating a new genre of eveningwear, and becoming a Hollywood favourite, Maria's dreamy dresses are constantly spotted on the red carpet of the most star-studded events.

On starting her label, she explains, "I couldn't find a gown that suited my age and style. I never liked the classic pattern dresses, nor the bridal guest style. I felt the need to create a new kind of sihlouette and texture".

Under her namesake lable, Maria Lucia ended up creating a new category of evening gowns, fresh, young, simple and yet sophisticated. Her dresses make women look and feel vibrant, powerful, feminine, delicate and yet sensual and utterly seductive.
